Tribal Sovereign Tees are shirts with a different reality in mind. My designs reflect pride, honor and tradition from an indigenous view. My product line reflects my perspective of the world.

My slogan "T-shirts with a State of Mind" is the driving element in my designs. It's important for my designs to make people who wear them and see them think about the statement that's being made.

Biography

My name is Matthew Tafoya and I am the owner of Tribal Sovereign Tees. I am a member of the Dine (Navajo) Nation and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my wife, Tina James Tafoya and our two children (Dezbah & Zak).

I have been in the t-shirt screen-printing business since the summer of 1997. This has been a great business for me. It has allowed me to see Native America and more importantly it has given me an opportunity to share my message of the importance of self-determination and tribal sovereignty.
